Course Content

Applied Business Single Award consists of 6 units and AS consists of 3 units. The course can be studied at Single Award equating to one A Level. The First Year of the Single Award is AS study and consists of 3 units.

Single Award A2 Year

Unit 8 - Business Development - Controlled Assignment
Unit 10 - Marketing Decisions - Examined unit

How it is Taught

The course is taught using case studies, external visits and visiting speakers representing the business world. Assessment includes both internally assessed assignments and external assessments. The majority of the course is assignment driven, 70% of the final grade awarded is based on internal coursework.

Entry Requirements

Students should meet the general college entry requirements for advanced level study. Please see the current Prospectus- Advanced Programmes, Entry Requirements. Students should have a grade C in Maths and English.

Prior study of Business Studies is not necessary to start this subject at advanced level.
