Crimbo Bingo

Crimbo Bingo

Leisure Studies students at QE held a 'Crimbo Bingo' evening to raise funds for an educational visit and to meet the requirements of one of their A Level units of study.

The evening was a huge success and was superbly supported by students' friends and families. The evening, along with a raffle and a bag pack at Morrison's, raised a grand total of £1150, exceeding their target by £150.

John Beilby, their teacher, said:

'Throughout the organisation of the event the students worked really hard to ensure a successful outcome. The whole evening had a real festive feel, helped by the seasonal decorations and fancy dress costumes. A good time was had by all. The total raised is a real credit to their organisational skills and will go a long way towards subsidising their outward bound visit in 2007. We would like to say a huge thank you to all who supported us, especially the local businesses and organisations that generously donated bingo and raffle prizes.'
