International Dance Star
Seventeen year old Sophie Craggs, a student at QE, is celebrating her success in a prestigious international dance competition.
Sophie explains:
"It was brilliant. I was competing against 80 other dancers and I was very proud to win. It meant that I regained the title that I won for the first time in 2005 - last year I was runner up.
I also had a new costume, which made it extra special."
At QE Sophie is studying A levels in Dance, PE and Health & Social Care and hopes to go to Sunderland University next year to read a degree in Dance & Sport. Her ambition is to eventually become a PE teacher.
Sophie lives in Chilton and, as well as doing A Level Dance at QE, she has regular dance lessons at Clare Walton's `Stepping Out' in Newton Aycliffe.
