St Trinian's Day 2008
Students and staff went back to school for a day, putting on their old school uniforms, enjoying fun and games and making the best possible use of a tuck shop!
Justin Ramsden, President of the Student Association explains:
"We wanted to raise as much money as possible for the Children’s Foundation and the back to school, St Trinian’s day was a fun way to do it. There was a great atmosphere in College and everyone gave generously and entered into the spirit of the event. It was also a good way to end the first half of the Autumn Term."
Stephen Singleton, Chair of The Children's Foundation adds:
"The Children’s Foundation is supporting the Great North Children’s Hospital which is being built on the site of the RVI in Newcastle. The new children’s hospital - which is due to open in 2010 - defies the look and feel of a traditional hospital and will provide a bright, colourful environment for children, to alleviate their fears and worries during their stay. It will be a great resource for the North East accommodating everything from general to super specialist children’s services under one roof. But services are not everything a child needs. Additional funds will also enable us to purchase stimulating, funky furniture for the hospital and provide visits from the Clown Doctors and other performers, who will brighten up the children’s day with music, play and story-telling."
Total amount raised £585.
