QE Ambassadors!
34 students studying A Level French at QE have just spent a wonderful week in Paris, visiting celebrated sights such as the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, Arc de Triomphe and the Orangerie museum, as well as soaking up the more atmospheric quarters of the Sacre Coeur and Montmartre.
They had the additional challenge of staying with families, living as the French do, eating French food and conversing with their hosts. The students rose to this challenge, delighting their host families with their friendliness, politeness and linguistic ability.
Louise Nicholson, Director of Modern Languages remarked:
"Throughout the week the families commented on how wonderful our students were and how they spoke the best French of any visitors that had ever stayed! They were true ambassadors for QE and for Darlington."
