QE students joined forces with students from Darlington College to raise funds for Sport Relief. Using the Abbey Road playing fields, students and staff from the two colleges got active to raise cash and change the lives of disadvantaged people in the UK and across the world’s poorest countries. Joint activities included a sponsored football match, supported by Darlington Football Club’s community coaches Neil Maddison and Kevin Stonehouse, and a women’s fancy dress tag rugby game.

Further Education Sports Co-ordinator, Paul Carroll comments: “It is the first time that students from QE and Darlington College have come together in a joint fundraising initiative. It worked really well and fun was had by all.’’
