Hockey Stars
Two students from QE have won places in the British Colleges’ National Hockey Squads. Sophie Watchman and Richard Bowker were selected to represent England following their success at Regional, Northern and National trials.
Paul Carroll, Sports Co-ordinator at QE, commented:
“Both Sophie and Richard have done so well to get through to the National Squads. They have shown total commitment, attending trials and training camps to achieve their places in the Squads. At the same time they have been working hard for their A Level exams. Their year will be rounded off by a tour featuring matches against other nations and club sides.”
