Fundraising for Air Ambulance

Leisure Studies students at QE held a Wild West Night to raise funds for the North East Air Ambulance and to subsidise an educational visit. The evening was a huge success and was superbly supported by students' friends and families with more than £800 being raised for the Air Ambulance.

Teacher, Julie Vickerman, explains:

“The event was part of the A Level course, meeting the requirements of one unit of study and featured western themed games and a buffet. However, the outstanding activity was line dancing. The students coached the audience through the dance and over 70 pairs of feet joined in - great fun! Throughout the organisation the students worked really hard and the evening had a professional feel about it; the total raised is a real credit to their organisational skills and commitment. We would like to say a huge thank you to all who supported us, especially the local businesses and organisations that generously donated bingo and raffle prizes.”
