Oxbridge Success
Nine students have been offered places at the universities of Oxford and Cambridge. Providing they attain top grades in their final exams in June, they'll take up their places in the Autumn.
Paul Renteurs and Jalal Thompson have been offered places at Oxford, Paul to read Law and Jalal to study Bio-Chemistry. The other seven will go to Cambridge. Laura McIntyre and Laura Cleminson both have places for Law, Sylvia Atallah and Alys Cundy will read History, Emily Simpson will study Land Economy, Emily Ross Archaeology and Anthropology and Becky Millar Philosophy.
Simon Nicholson, Oxbridge Co-ordinator, comments:
"The competition for places seems to get more intense every year and it is to our students' great credit that they have gained places."
Paul Renteurs said:
"Before I came to QE I never really thought that I would even have a chance of going to Oxford. The more I started to think about it, the more excited I got. I really want to thank all my tutors and the College staff who have helped me get this far. To be honest, I don't think the implications of receiving this offer have totally sunk in yet."
