- St Trinian's for Charity
To celebrate the end of half term and to raise money for charity, staff and students donned their old school uniforms. The fundraising was for the Butterwick Children's Hospice and Amnesty International, but the day's theme - St Trinian's - was one of fun and laughter.

- Fude's Success in National Competition
Fude are a well-known local rock band made up of students studying at QE. Formed three years ago, the group won last year's Battle of the Bands Competition at College and have gone on to stage gigs all over this country and have even performed in Germany.

At the beginning of 2005 Ellie Martin is off to Costa Rica and Nicaragua with Raleigh International to do voluntary community and conservation work.

- Shave for Charity
On Friday 3rd October Alice Reid had her head shaved to raise funds for Cancer Research. The event took place in the Student Common Room with a stylist from Tracy Chipperfields salon in Coniscliffe Road.

- Excellence in Maths and Science
The annual Heckscher-Wolf Prize ceremony was held on 24th September. Awards were made to students who excelled in their first and second year of study at the College in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry.

- Shave for Charity
On Friday 3rd October Alice Reid is having her head shaved to raise funds for Cancer Research. The 17-year-old student will be shorn at lunchtime in the Student Common Room by Charlotte, a stylist from Tracy Chipperfield's salon in Coniscliffe Road.
