Notes
1. Classes may be cancelled if insufficient numbers enrol.
2. If you require further information, course descriptions are available by clicking on the course title.
3. Adults are also welcome to join daytime classes. Our Foundation Art and Access to Higher Education Course are designed especially for mature students.
4. Evening students provide their own books and materials.
5. Please be aware that, as the advertised cost of exam classes has already been subsidised by public funding, full attendance of lessons is required.
Fees
GCSE Maths, English and Science are offered at the concessionary rate of £20. This fee will be refunded if the student attains a Grade C or above, in the final examinations.
The amount payable for all courses includes tuition and, if appropriate, examination/assessment fees.
Remission of Fees
The following groups of people qualify for remission of tuition fees and only pay a £20 registration fee per subject:
- unemployed people in receipt of Jobseekers' Allowance
- those in receipt of an income based benefit e.g. Council Tax benefit, Housing benefit, Income Support, Working Tax Credit (subject to income level)
- the unwaged dependants of those listed above
- students aged 19-25 years who are working towards their first full Level 3 qualification
- students over the age of 25 who do not have a full Level 2 qualification but are working towards their first full Level 3 qualification
- those in receipt of the Guarantee Credit element of Pension Credit.
Evidence must be produced to show your eligibility.
Students aged 16-18 on 1st September do not pay any fees.
Students under the age of 16 are not eligible for concessions.
N.B. Concessions are not available for courses marked *.
Financial Support
Full time students may be eligible for government support through the Adult Learning Grant. In addition, help with child care costs can be sought through Care to Learn and the College's Learner Support Fund can provide assistance with resources for those on low incomes. Please ask for details.
