The Supplementary Programme
The Supplementary Programme enables you to pursue interests you have already developed, or to explore new ones. Some students take courses such as First Aid or Teaching Observation, through which they can gain qualifications and experience which will be useful for their future careers; some students keep fit by playing a variety of sports. Others learn new languages; some choose to take courses just for fun and interest.

Enrichment Studies
In the second year, students have a wide range of academic Enrichment subject opportunities. Some of the options available are:
Extended project: an opportunity to take an aspect of an A Level course further. Students write a 5000 word report or produce an artefact and a report. They work with a specialist subject supervisor to develop independent study skills to prepare for university.
AS Citizenship Studies: aimed at Law and Politics students. Students learn about their rights and responsibilities. They also have the opportunity to become involved in active citizenship activities.
AS World Development: aimed at Geography and Sociology students who are interested in world affairs. The course looks at the challenges facing developing society. A range of case studies is used to bring the course to life.
AS Art Critical Thinking & Contextual Studies: aimed at students who want to take their Art studies further. Students learn to evaluate art and look at how techniques and concepts have developed over time.
