The Student Association
The Student Common room is the main centre for students to meet and relax with facilities that are run by the students.
The Servery in the common room offers a wide range of hot and cold food at reasonable prices.
Students are also welcome to use the facilities in The Arts Centre which is adjacent to the College.
Student Association Meetings
It is important that students have an effective voice in the College and take responsibility for their affairs. The Student Association is the body set up for this purpose.
Each tutor group chooses a student representative for the Student Association which meets regularly to discuss matters of interest and concern to students within the College. A Student President and Vice President are elected each year and there are other posts on the Student Executive Committee.
Students are encouraged to arrange social events and are invited to join cross college groups such as the Equality and Diversity Committee and the Health Promotion Committee. There is a Student Sub-Committee of the Governing Body to which student officers contribute and the Student President and Vice President attend Board Meetings of the College Corporation.
