“I grew up a lot at QE and overall it was a very enjoyable experience. There were lots of excellent social aspects and Physics opened my mind up to all sorts of new options.
It’s hard work doing A Levels and you have to do homework to succeed. Also, it’s no good leaving exam preparation until the last minute – you’ve got to be organised!”

He thoroughly immersed himself in life at QE. He took beginners’ German, Russian and Italian in the Supplementary Programme, played sax in the College’s Big Band and played the piano at College Open events, also accompanying the choir.

“QE is a very exciting College – it was a fun two years. It’s such a fab place to study and excellent preparation for university."

She loved the subjects she studied and made the most of the opportunities available, going to London with the Politics Department to visit the Houses of Parliament and going on an English Language trip to Sheffield.
Amy says:
"I think QE is a brilliant college and would recommend it to anyone. I enjoyed meeting new people and made a lot of new friends. It doesn’t matter where you come from, if you are friendly and open to new ideas you’ll soon settle in and enjoy life as a student."
Samuel Ilori-Ewruje

"The College has a friendly environment and is very welcoming. There are lots of opportunities to make new friends and get involved in College life. I would advise prospective students to take courses that interest them and to make the most of everything on offer."

She comments:
"There are loads of nice and unique people at QE. I am so pleased I came to College as there are so many opportunities. I particularly enjoy Textiles and being involved in the Alternative Fashion Show in the Supplementary Programme was exciting – just a fantastic experience!
My advice to new students is that deadlines are there for a reason and they need to realise this and stick to them."
Andrew Tate
Andrew is in his second year at Sheffield University reading Modern Foreign Languages. At QE he made the most of the opportunities available.
