Visitors to Darlington’s Victorian Market Hall can now enjoy the arts while they shop, as ten new pieces of artwork created by QE students go on display in the Hall.
Students studying A level Geology at QE have just returned from a week long fieldtrip to the European Alps.

Becca Horner from Shildon has won a golfing scholarship at the University of Troy in Alabama. Seventeen year old Becca combines her rigorous golfing regime with her academic studies at Darlington’s Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College where she will take her final A Level exams, next summer, in Philosophy & Ethics, IT and Law.
Mike Nicholson, Director of Undergraduate Admissions from Oxford University came to the College on Tuesday 20th November to give students an insight as to what to expect from interview.
A group of 18 students and 2 members of staff from Darlington’s Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College will travel to Botswana next summer to help in deprived communities. They’ll spend 16 days helping local people through the creation of sustainable vegetable patches and the building of traditional homes for AIDS orphans, as well as anything else they can do to assist. Whilst in Botswana they will also paddle the Okavango Delta and learn to survive in the desert with the Kalahari Bushmen!
Twenty students at Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College, Darlington took part in a lunchtime fitness session with a difference! The students who attended the hour long class were put through their paces by three Royal Marine Commandos and were stretched to the limit.
In the summer Rachael Kitching was a student at Darlington’s Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College and gained fantastic A Level results - A* grades in psychology, law and extended project and grade A in biology.
Students entered into the spirit of Christmas early by participating in Convoy Aid Romania’s Christmas Shoebox Appeal.
