Congratulations to Tamara and the Women’s Rugby World Cup Champions!
QE is delighted with the success of England’s women in the Rugby World Cup and our congratulations go to the whole squad. We are particularly proud of Tamara Taylor who was a stalwart player, wearing the number 4 shirt, as she works closely with the College, supporting rugby development generally and coaching the girls’ rugby team.Vice Principal, Anita Blackburn says:’Tam is the RFU’s Community Development Officer and her support of rugby in College is very much appreciated. Her commitment, dedication, enthusiasm and passion for involvement in sport and sporting excellence are infectious – she is a role model for young people no matter what their sport. Tam is in College next Tuesday organising a rugby course and we are very much looking forward to seeing her and, possibly, her gold medal!’
Tamara started playing rugby at the age of 11 and currently plays for Darlington Mowden Park Sharks. The Final on Sunday was the third World Cup Final she has experienced and this time Tamara and the England Team deservedly won!
