Emma Hedley, a former Art Foundation student at QE has launched a new jewellery range with The Real Housewives of Cheshire star, Tanya Bardsley. The collection, entitled Dreams to Reality, began with the concept of wish bracelets and is currently being sold in five House of Fraser stores across Northern England. Emma discovered her talent for creating jewellery whilst completing a gap year in New Zealand and now designs bespoke wedding and engagement rings in her studio in Newcastle. She prides herself on using recycling and ethically sourced gold and gemstones, and also makes jewellery for The Guitarwrist, a not-for-profit organisation which sells guitar strings used by famous artists to raise money for charity. Members of the business recently travelled to Download Festival where they acquired strings used by both Slash and Duff from Guns N’ Roses.

Looking back upon her time at QE Emma comments: ‘I really enjoyed my time at QE especially studying Art Foundation, as it gave me the chance to experiment with different ideas and mediums, and develop my presentation techniques. The College gave me the space to focus on what I wanted to do in the future, allowing me to add depth of meaning to my work’.

Laurence Job adds: ‘It is always wonderful to hear from our former students and discover what they have been doing since leaving QE. We are so proud of Emma and what she has achieved with her business; we wish her every success for the future’.
