Excellent Results for QE Students

Students and staff at QE are celebrating fantastic A Level results. QE is one of the largest A Level centres in the country and this year’s A Level pass rate is a superb 99% with a high grade rate (A*, A and B grades) of 53%. 1 student has attained 5 A* grades, 3 have achieved 5 A*/A grades with another 27 being awarded 4 A*/As.
Alexander Harris from Barnard Castle gained a full sweep of A* grades in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, General Studies and Maths and in the Autumn will go to Nottingham University to study Medicine. Jasmin Guy, Bethan Hacker and Alexandra Wall each achieved 4 A*/A grades. Jasmin’s were in Law, Politics, History, Religious Studies and General Studies and she will now progress to Durham University to read Law; Bethan will also go to Durham for a Geography degree, having attained her top grades in Biology, Music, Geography, General Studies and Extended Project; Alexandra’s destination is Oxford University where she will study History following A*/A grades in English Literature, History, Law, Psychology and General Studies.

‘This year QE students have performed magnificently in their A Level examinations. Their excellent grades are the product of a great deal of hard work by both students and staff. I have no doubt that with these results in the bag, our students will go on to do tremendous things in the future and I wish them all the very best.’
