Hippy Style Christmas Fun

QE students who have raised funds for Age UK, Darlington were invited along to their Beaumont Street premises to take part in a themed ‘60s fun day. It was an opportunity for the students to further get involved with the charity and to present a cheque for £352.

Assistant Principal, Laurence Job, explains:

‘It was great to again visit Age UK , Darlington and to share with customers and staff their Christmas celebrations. The day was good fun with 1960s music and games and with volunteers dressed as hippies and icons from the ’60s. It’s fantastic that the money students have raised is going to such a fantastic project- a reminiscence room, which I am sure will be well used by many.’
