Learning French in France

34 students studying A Level French at QE have recently returned from a week long to Northern France and Belgium, where they lived with families and experienced French life first hand.
The students spent two days in a French school and also visited the beautiful cities of Lille and Bruges, famous for their stylish Flemish architecture and vibrant city life. In addition, they had a thought provoking trip around First World War battlefields and cemeteries which was very moving and poignant, 100 years after the outbreak of war.
As a result of the visit the students made excellent progress with their language skills and started to think and even dream in French!
Student Caitlin Brennan commented:
“It was a superb trip. We learned so much, at the same time as having great fun!”
