Prestigious Apprenticeship with A Levels
Date Posted: 14/08/2014 | Posted In: Latest news
Many students take A Levels and then opt for university but Amy Hart has used her A Levels to secure a prestigious higher apprenticeship with the Civil Service in Newcastle. Amy studied A Level French, English Language and English Literature at QE, attained high grades in all of her subjects and will now join the Civil Service Fast Track Apprenticeship Scheme which recruits 100 of the most talented A Level students from across the country.
Amy has done fantastically well to win a place on this new national initiative and will have a structured training programme for at least two years where she will develop a range of skills and complete higher level qualifications. She will then be able to apply for graduate career opportunities managed by the Civil Service’s corporate talent programme.
Cathy Hodgson, Amy’s Careers Adviser at QE, remarks:
“Amy thoroughly deserves this amazing opportunity. She sought advice and guidance from the careers team throughout the process, so I had every confidence in her abilities and was thrilled when I heard her wonderful news. .A Levels are the gold standards and the gateway to an increasing number of opportunities for higher level apprenticeships and employment. I wish Amy every success. “
