Rugby Academy

The QE Rugby Academy, only available for students at the College, is an innovative programme and has been developed in partnership with Darlington Mowden Park RFC to provide superb holistic progress opportunities for talented athletes. Academic and sporting timetables will be carefully designed to ensure that you have the maximum amount of contact time with coaches and support staff to aid your rugby development and also have the best opportunities to fulfil your academic potential. A typical week for an Academy member will be split between QE and the Northern Echo Arena in Darlington; the largest rugby club venue in the country. The facilities at the Arena will be available to Academy students who will also be supported by the professional coaches, staff and players of Mowden Park RFC. You will also have access to additional qualifications such as First Aid, RFU Coaching and the Community Sports Leaders Award.
